Alfonso Extra Anejo #5

Description

The Alfonso Extra Anejo #5 delivers an ultra-premium, highly refined smoking experience that sits within the same luxury ecosystem as the Atabey line, emphasizing elegance, balance, and aromatic complexity over strength.

Crafted by Selected Tobacco at Tabacos de Costa Rica in Puriscal, Costa Rica, this cigar uses five years of post-roll aging in cedar-lined rooms, finished in French oak. The blend pairs an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Ecuadorian Connecticut binder with Nicaraguan ligero and Peruvian tobaccos. From the first draw, it opens with cream, cashews, and toasted bread before gradually unfolding into cedar, nutmeg, honey, vanilla, and toasted almond.

The 7 1/2 × 58 vitola (a long, unhurried session) shapes the experience: The long, generous format gives the blend a slow, unhurried draw, letting the flavors develop in layers across an extended smoking time.

Enthusiasts often describe this line as a “dessert-level Connecticut experience”—not sweet in flavoring, but naturally creamy, honeyed, and aromatic due to long tobacco aging. The result is a cigar that feels extremely refined, with impeccable combustion and a slow, elegant evolution.

This is a cigar built entirely around finesse, aging, and aromatic purity rather than strength or complexity spikes.

Perfect for luxury pairings, quiet reflection, or moments where absolute smoothness and refinement are the priority.
